Welcome to the Golden City this week, CAS Members,
This week, CAS is presenting the Miramax version of the Thief and the Cobbler.
The screening will also be part of a Frames of Influence as Deborah Moorshead will be talking with us about her experience working on the film.
For those unfamiliar with this labor of love from Richard Williams (author of Animator’s Survival Kit), here is a brief synopsis:
Come to CAS this Thursday at 8:30 PM at Montgomery Hall Room 311 for a journey into the East and tales of animating in Richard Williams studio!
Also, don't forget that this Friday, CAS will be touring the Don Bluth Collection at the Jen Library. So meet in the lobby of the Jen Library at 11AM to see some of the amazing cels, storyboards, and backgrounds from this unique and amazing collection.
CAS T-Shirts are ready to order, so bring in $10 for your very own CAS t-shirt!

Come to our meeting to sign up for a size and pay for your awesome, CAS-lovin’ shirt this Thursday!
You will also want to come to the meeting this week to hear about a NEW EXCLUSIVE ITEM that ONLY CAS MEMBERS can order!
Art Educators continues this week to bring the love of animation to some young school children. Bring the craft you love to some very appreciative little kids.

If you want to join the fun, meet in the lobby of Montgomery Hall (front doors) at 2 PM on Friday.

Also, remember to mark your calendars for the End-of-Year CAS Student Screenings on the 22nd (There will be a special surprise you won’t want to miss!)
Sorry if this announcement is a little repetitive of last week, but just be sure to mark those agendas and calendars for all the awesome action CAS is sending your way.
Let the comedy begin,
I’ll see you Thursday,
Elaine Nybeck,
CAS Secretary

“Golden City is in trouble: a scheming advisor has betrayed the King, a thief has made off with the city's magic relics, and an army is only days away from attack. Any hope of rescue must come from the king's daughter, Princess Yum Yum, and an unlikely hero in the form of Tack the Cobbler.” –Yahoo Movies
