Wall-E is Pixar's next film and is scheduled for release on June 28, 2008. Watch the trailer and speculate!

I'm speculating, all right... intense speculation.
Speculate with me, my companions. Wear spectacles and speculate spectacularly.

Funny how that robot kind of looks like the robot Hal Miles held up during his lecture. You know, the one with the wire armeture and binocular eyes. It was made by a student, I believe. Although that robot was in that little "assembly line" flick, I highly doubt it's the same robot as Wall-E, which makes me sad.

YEAY for cute robots. Probably seen this trailer a dozen times before, but it is still fun.
Can you imagine compacting trash for 700 years? I think I'd want a vacation.

the chara design reminded me of that one movie where there is that one robot that lived with people and it was supposed to be a comedy and uh..yeah nvm
ah dunno its hard to tell. but anything Pixar cranks out is good. although i never saw Cars. >_> cos i didn't like the story but i'm sure it was still good.

no, sometimes Pixar drops the ball, IMHO :S
case in point: Cars. It was not good...at least in my opinion, anyway. When I saw the movie it just made me mad. The audience ate up all the farting jokes and "GET 'ER DONE" comments from Mater, though...so maybe I'm just weird?
I don't know- it's okay if anyone else here liked it, but for me, I just became angry at it. Very sub-par for Pixar, I think.

I didn't dislike Cars as far as general entertainment goes.
...that said, I disliked Cars for a Pixar film. Not sure if it was the lack of generally expressive characters - minus of course their faces (which, by the way, I think was almost compensated for by the use of clever rigging), but something about the film struck me as very... well, just not quite a pixar film.
Nothing against DreamWorks--they have some good stuff out too, but it's a film that I'd have expected them to make rather than Pixar.
The concept was interesting, but not phenomenal. The story wasfun, but not inspired. The only thing I'd say I genuinely really liked about this film was (of course) the basic visuals... it was a pretty film (esp. the particle effects... whoo boy). I also liked the painted backgrounds, that was a nice touch.
All in all, just not my cup of highly caffeinated tea... because the peopl who made that film definitely had some caffeine in their systems.

It's worth mentioning, for those who may not know, that there are two trailers on Wall-e (which wasn't the case when this was first posted)
I particularly like when he sets off the fire extinguisher... hee hee
