This is really fun and will make you inspired to keep working. Sometimes it is easy to forget how fast we improve if we just keep trying! Anyone who has a deviantart might know of this- the quest for improvement. Basically, find a bunch of your old pictures, preferably those that can be easily compared to one another (ie: the same character drawn from different years) and put them together in a collage time line, and see how much you've grown! This can be done to show growth over years, months,or even weeks (As in 10 weeks worth of improvement, eh?). Example from my blog: and a general tip is, if you DON'T have a character you draw consistantly, simply go and find something old you did, and draw it again. In example, my character, Jonathon Lawson, as he was just a little over a year ago, and how he is as of 2 minutes ago: (er...granted...this is probably a bad example, actually, seeing as I draw the character consistently enough to where he's obviously evolved in design as well...but...you get the idea) Go, try it out, and post your results here! I can't wait to see how everyone here has improved !

Hahaha... this is actually quite funny for me as I actually got inspired the other day to "clean out" alot of what was my deviant gallery because I hadn't updated it in well a couple yrs. I got a good laugh at myself while looking at old stuff. This is all digital painting. I think that first 2005 one is the first thing I did with my tablet and was done on oekaki. The girl on the horse is a part of a larger image I have been working on since last December. I just haven't had any extra time really. And the girl with red hair I just started a week or two ago. Maybe this Dec. I'll finish them. ;D Tracy: That last character design looks so different it could even be considered a different character. Like their personalities don't look the same if that makes any sense.
