Ok, so this WOULD be old news, but I'm posting it anyway. (note: i say "would" because, really, Brad Bird's work never gets old)
I personally loved Ratatouille, which is what I expected based on Bird's other work. The visuals were gorgeous, the storyline was inventive, and the contrasting emotions during various parts of the story were achieved very well. I can't actually think of anything I genuinely disliked about the movie at all.
My favorite parts: Ego. Anytime this character appeared, I was ecstatic. His design, mannerisms, etc. etc... incredible. I actually laughed out loud upon seeing the overhead view of his office (one guess why). Basically, this was the perfect villain for this film.
...actually, I'm not going to list all my favorite parts, because that would take a while. Suffice to say, this is my second favorite animated feature of all time. The first is actually The Incredibles, but considering that's also Brad Bird's work, I think it's safe to mention in this thread.
SO! What did everyone else think of the film? Likes/dislikes? Favorite parts? Small details you thought were funny or interesting? How does it rank on your list of favorite animated features?
I'll likely post about some other films I've found to be revolutionary or impressive in the future, but for now, I leave the board open to discussion.

I really enjoyed it.
And you can be especially excited because our last meeting will be a screening of the film along with FOOD. MMMM We were debating the idea of actually making ratatouille.....
I also like the Incredibles and Beauty and the Beast is a classic favorite of mine too. Ratatouille ranks pretty high, but I wouldn't consider it a favorite. Though I must say I have enjoyed both Ego and Bowler Hat man as recent "classic" villains.

i loooooved it. it was so awesome. and i really like to cook so it kinda touched me personally..
but i think one of the movies strong points was it was the first Pixar movie where they had a main characters that were both human and animal.. every other Pixar movie that has had humans..well they were only minor charas that didn't get that much screentime but with this movie there was a lot of human and and non-human char interaction which i thought was cool. :B
