Aww, shucks, thanks Your 3-D work is amazing thank you! also: Thanks Nate! I wish I could see some of your works, but none of the links work on your site yet! It's a great, professional layout though ! Yeah, I know... I'm constantly redoing my site but i never like the way I revise it, so I never upload it, and therefore never get around to posting my work-- so it might be a while before I have a finished, quality, fully operational site, heheh. ALSO: Hi Kim! And Melody! Animators have fun in many ways: most of these include the, uh... the... well... food is a good one. And video gaming... hanging out with our friends. Actually, I'd say that apart from spending most of our lives at Monty with other (crazy, fun, awesome) people. we have fun the same way everyone else does. Except more so, because many of them are less insane. . As far as work goes, we animate. That basically encompasses anything the word animate can mean, apart from bringing dead organisms back to life, which is technically re-animation anyway. At any rate, I look forward to potentially seeing you guys at future CAS meetings!

Thanks, you should see the digitally cleaned up ink/paint composited on BG version of him... I just need to put it online sometime... The flash conversion stinks and Devi says they won't let me in the 'elite' film group. Very sad. I can't post avi or mov files... Guess I need to put them on youtube or something.

Hello, I'm Lamont Wayne. Along with Matt Shumway and Jennifer Culicchia, I'm one of the original 3 members of CAS.
I would like to say that by the looks of your website, you guys are having a lot of fun and running a top notch organization. Good for you all! Congratulations on such a wonderful job.
I was wondering if you guys were going to do anything for the club's 10th anniversary. This April, it would have been ten years since the club was started in that 4th floor dorm room in O-House. Just curious, I guess.
Anyway, hello everyone, and be proud. You're members of an organization that has hosted professionals throughout the animation industry, some of which were members themselves.
Cheers! ;D

hey guys -- Lamont just emailed me & freaked me out by telling me it's been 10 years since we started CAS & during our time it was the Classical Animation Society. We went on trips to Cartoon Network in Atlanta to meet with the (at the time) Vice President of Original Animation, Linda Simensky... We went down to Disneyworld on many occasions to meet with Larry Lauria & Bill Hodman (who also came up to speak to us), in addition to Andreas Deja. Bill Plympton stopped in for a visit as well... I hope that you guys are having as much fun as we did... Larry Lauria was a MAJOR part of the success of the start up of the group and I'm glad to see it's still going. We even won the best group booth at the Sidewalk Arts Festival! We built a huge stage & had a big screen TV brought in -- we gave the kids little flip books & pencils & Larry animated on his board while the camera was connected to the TV & he taught the kids how to draw a bouncing ball... They had so much fun! If you guys are interested I can always post some pics... Best wishes to you all! Jennifer Culicchia, BFA, Illustration 2001 www.swankyillustrations.com

Hi everyone! I'm a new student here at SCAD, going for an MFA in Animation. My roommate referred me to you guys by showing some clips from the Savanijam(sp?) last year. I would love to join your club, if possible. It looks like a lot of fun and a great way to meet other animators!!
Right now, I'm a 2D animator specializing in Flash and graphic/web design, though I'm spending this quarter and possibly the next one catching up with 3D. I'd like to be capable with both, though I think 2D shall always be my passion. ^_~

My name is José. I'm from San Juan Puerto Rico, and a Grad student in Animation... and heading towards 3-D, even though I like 2-D a lot (I'm just not a 100% happy with my drawing skills).
What else? I like playing music, I play guitar and bass, and a little of some other things... I love inventing stuff, either animations or board games or whatever comes to mind.
Anything else, ask away!
Nice meeting you all!
Jose

Hey, I'm Lexy! I guess technically I'm not officially any major yet, since I'm a frosh, but I'm pretty dead set on being an animation major with a minor in storyboarding... or conceptual art - can we do that? Wasn't sure if that was available or not, hurr... I've got some hobbies like drawing comics, or drawing in general (just can't put the pencil down!), playing the piano, skiing, singing, swing dancing, improv, and juggling. I've already gone to a few CAS meetings, and I can't wait for the rest of the year! -Lexy www.rekushi.deviantart.com/www.drunkduck.com/DGD/ (my web comic) blog.scad.edu/lposto20/ (temporary portfolio and resume)
